• Hot Database Backup. In today’s 24x7 business climate, it is not reasonable to expect database applications to close down to enable back up. Databases contain up-to-the minute critical information necessary for ongoing business and must be included in all backup strategies. Smarter Backup performs hot database backup for Oracle, DB2, MS-SQL and others.
• Backup your data as often as you want (You can set your backup sets to run as often as every hour, this does not cost you a penny more because backups and restores are not limited.  You Simply pay for the amount of data that is stored off-site.
• Save up to 30 generations of your data and restore to any point.
• Set online storage quotas and warning levels (You can set notifications for yourself to let you know if and when you are reaching your budget level.  In addition you can set quotas for yourself)
• Set notifications of backups (Email notifications can be setup with the click of a mouse to inform you on how are backups ran)

• Data is encrypted up to 256bit and software is linked to hardware configuration of the client computer (This ensures that your data is always kept private, even from our technicians.  In addition, the software is linked to the hardware of the computer that the client software was initially installed on, this ensures that no one can steal your data and do a restore off-site, even if they know your encryption password.  The only way to reset this feature is to have a designated principal of the company call our staff and allow this change to be made.
• Bare Metal Restore. Easily deployed to address hardware failure and disaster recovery applications, Smarter Backups ’s bare metal restore is the first agentless solution for distributed environments that delivers reduced complexity and greatly reduced costs for IT professionals with mid-to-large enterprises. Smarter Backups ’s bare metal restore allows administrators to restore the complete system on new hardware – regardless of manufacturer – including local data, user profiles, registry/system state, service pack files and encrypted files.
• Compliance regulations do not distinguish data center data from remote office data – both must be accounted for. Televaulting addresses state, Federal and international regulatory compliance demands by backing up remote/branch office data to the data center. Data is encrypted both in-flight over the WAN and at rest.
• Hot Email Backup. The agentless Message Level Restore (MLR) module allows users to selectively back up and restore individual mailboxes and email messages for one user or for an entire network, depending on needs. Using MLR’s selective filtering, administrators can save time, money and resources by restoring only selected mailboxes or emails, instead of having to restore the entire email database. Televaulting performs hot email backup for: MS-Exchange, Lotus Notes or GroupWise databases. With MLR, restoring lost, damaged or corrupted messages becomes a quick and streamlined process, allowing easy recovery to any existing hardware at any location.
• Data recoverability and Reliability. Backing up is all about the data recovery. If backed up data can’t be recovered – it is worthless.
